Life is getting hard in the social networks. Face book has become an
arena where people solve their problems. They type whatever they want. They
fearlessly offend the other party, threatening the “adversary” protected by the
screen shield. The old fashioned way to go the opponent’s house, talk face to
face or at least call his phone number on trying to solve the issue does not
exist anymore. It is disused to get in touch, on trying to listen to his
version of the facts or maybe some other witnesses. Going to your own page in facebook to pour
hate, vent disagreements, and say whatever you want is now the vogue.
Face book turned into a stage for cowards. Sometimes an opinion leader
criticizes your name, your company and you only learn of it when attentive
friends, worried about your reputation, paste their post for you so that you
are able to read it. They lack the courage to put an @ in front of your name,
so that the post can go to your page and
you can see it, then defend yourself, give your own version about the facts.
Another point is that currently we must be afraid to communicate on face
book. Particularly I do not write a word
there anymore. At times I feel like writing about what is on my mind, I give up
though. I do not want to write an
insult, or clear allusions ( like many
people do) I just want to say something. But I must be aware, that everything I say, everything
I write will be used against me. And, YES, it can cause conflict.
As a stage of envy, your pictures posted can fan the flames rage of the
one who looks them in their computer.
Fancy trips they have never made, places they will never visit, a sculptural
body in a bikini, a special food you have never eaten, restaurants you only
dream of going. All this stirs certain envy, fans flames inside of those who
see that image which nothing else can hold. There they go then, typing, writing
whatever they want. If they regret it later, if what they wrote generates
polemics, they just delete the post. To
delete is easy. It is all right. Is it all
right? What if anyone made a print? What
if anyone pasted and saved the image, I mean…
In relation to political parties we are not allowed to say a Word. People put you out, they simply do not want to
know about your existence anymore just due to the fact that you have a
different political view. I consider these face book “writers”, these
opinion makers are being tough. If they do not sympathize with a certain statesman, for instance, they wish to see this political
figure dead , taut in a coffin as if this would solve all their financial problems,
as if it could take them to that fancy hotel they had just seen in another person’s page; or as if they
could be attractive and athletic like that one who has time and money to spend hours at the gym or for plastic surgery procedures and hyaluronic acids.
It is getting hard, folks.
