Memories of an Old Dog  is  Sinara Foss’ first book.  The south Brazilian author is worried about animal protection and animal rights. This book is narrated by Xolo, the dog that tells  his story since his birth in a farm, the many difficulties he has gone through until  his peaceful old age after being adopted by a family who loved and respected animals. Memories of an Old Dog is a sensitive novel which will awake the reader’s comprehension and empathy   with sufferings and joy of animals. After we read it, we  realize the  relevance of  adopting  adult  animals for they, as they do not have the cuteness of a puppy dog or a fluffy kitten, are more  liable to neglect and loneliness.
